In cartridge applications, due to the fact that the liquid flow direction is from outside inward, in essence it is not that important to glaze the exterior of the cartridges. Only glazed and loose fiber free inner core is important for quality cartridges. Glazed exterior surface actually causes premature build-up of cake, result in shortened service lives. For graded pore structure cartridges, the primary purpose of outer layers should be coarse particle retention and dirt loading. The surface of CPPK60 Series is neither glazed nor singed. It is fuzz to form high degree of prosperous outer layers, in order to increase overall contaminant loading capabilities. Lab test has shown the service life of CPPK60 is 40~ 45% longer than glazed melt-blown cartridges.
